First Time Use

Is there a way that you can add a question for first time use and make the app remember the details to add them into the email functions?

Hi edwardos, Not easily. But if you look at the Documentation for a 'Share via Email' screen you'll see that you can pre-fill the message content area of the email. So in that message you could ask your end user to enter the answers to some questions to get the information you're after.

Adding on to this, is there a way so when the app is used first time, the info screen pops up at the beginning of the session?

You would have to figure out and code some logic to determine if the user had accessed the app before or not, and then display your popup. Check out the code for a map screen when a pin is pressed to see an example of how a 'popup' is created and displayed. Or maybe using a Splash Screen would work for you?

It's an option for v1.5 apps. If you would like to create v1.5 apps you'll need to sign up for the Early Adopter list in your control panel. Click on your email address on the top right of this screen and you should see a link. After you're an Early Adopter, click the 'Create New App' tab and then 'Create a New v1.5 App'.
