Best Way to Embed Video Content That's viewable offline

I want to make a kind of video training gallery, I have the videos in a compressed iPhone Format so they shouldn't add up to too much space. Can I embed them with HTML? I'm thinking it's best to allow the users to view them offline, but I suppose streaming is a good alternative.

Hi Jordash, Yeah that should work. Just drag you videos to your project in xcode/eclipse and link to it by file name, not file path, and it should work. Just be aware that apps over 10mb will require a wifi connection for download from the appstore. Also remember that when you embed content, if you wish to change it or add/remove to/from it, you will need to recompile and resubmit your project to whichever store it is in.

So is that a way outside of the BuzzTouch Web Interface? That's how I built the initial App, it's going to be a video gallery type thing of training videos. Jordan

@Jordash, looks like you are not an early adopter for v1.5? (don't see it in your profile pic) in your control panel you can select to built apps with v1.5 and will have much more flexibility...embedding videos is much easier too...2gb over wifi download is Apple's app size limit....Android is supposedly upping their app size limit as well

Oh ok cool, I can see that I can create v1.5 apps now, will I have to restart on a new app and delete the old v1.4 one or is there a way to upgrade an existing app? Thanks, Jordan

I created a new v1.5 App and I linked to the videos by the direct file name (e.g. filename.mov) I put all of the .mov files in the BT_Video folder but it still comes up with this error during the app running. File does not exist in Xcode bundle: filename.mov

Try dragging your videos into the BT_Video folder in xcode itself and then recompiling.

oh yeah that works perfect, I guess it doesn't import them automatically.
