Updating Inquiry - Best Practice / Use.

Quick Questions: 1) I have completed my second App which has gone live on iTunes. My App is a gallery of all my paintings to date. I understand in this instance the fresh key will not be the best option for future updates as i need to physically drag upcoming images (Paintings) to my Xcode Project for my App to accurately update. (Or have i got this wrong? Am i ok to keep the Refresh Key for automatic future updates)? 2) As an experiment i deleted the pre-filled information in the Data URL under the Configuration Data URL in Core Settings and the refresh button has disappeared when I re-opened my App on my iPhone (This is a bought version of my App from iTunes). Good news the button disappeared! Bad News - Now i want to bring the button back so i can have access to the immediate update when i make a changes in my buzztouch control panel. So i re-intered the information i originally deleted but the button does not appear! Can anyone guide me to how i can have access to that feature again? Thank you

Hi. When adding images you can point them to a remote folder instead of updating app. Also helps on the BT bandwidth! Rather than reference the images as a filename you should set them up in the cloud, say Dropbox for instance if you do not have access to a server, that way all you have to do is drop the new images in the folder and they will automagically show up in the app.

Hey Art, MacApple points out some helpful advice. You can set you screens to access their content from online somewhere so you don't have to update your app, but the new content appears as you add/replace it. In your case now that you deleted the Configuration Data URL in your apps core properties, your app is no longer looking for updates. The only way to get that working again is to reset those URL settings to default in the Core Properties of your app, and then submit an update to apple. After that your app will check for updates like it used to.
