Problems when trying to send my app in Application Loader!

Hi! I´m really hoping someone can help me.. I´m done with my app and I was about to load it on Application Loader to send it to Apple for approval. But when I hit send, I get an error message saying: Is not a valid zip file: build/ does not have the proper permissions. The ZIP file was likely created using an older ZIP application. I have the latest download of Xcode, and I´ve tried to follow the tutorials here as good as I can. I set my Release and Debug to Latest iOS, and my code signing identity to iPhone Developer. Also, when I hit the show the version editor-button, it´s not working. Supposedly it´s because I don´t have permission to view it, which I find weird, because I can´t find anything wrong with the info in get info on the file (I think). Now, keep in mind that I am a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff, so if anyone knows what the problem might be- I would´t mind if you wrote a description for dummies. Thank you!

Hi, So, I use Xcode 3.x but many things should be the same. From your description, one problem you have is that you need to copy your Release configuration, change the code signing to Distribution, and then rebuild. Make sure you do a clean all targets. When I build in my Xcode, I choose the Build and Archive option, so it automatically compresses it for me. This link might help you a bit : http://www.idev101.com/code/Distribution/build.html Mark

@mgreen - A couple of suggestions that may help. You may have done these. 1. Have you created your 'app store' distribution profile in the iOS Provisioning Portal? You need to create that and install it in Xcode. 2. You need to create the app in iTunes Connect before trying to upload, then select the 'Ready to Upload Binary' button in iTunes Connect. 3. I always set all of the code signing identities to the app store distribution profile I created. 4. Select 'archive' in xcode. It will build the app then open the 'Organizer' screen. 5. From the organizer screen, click the 'validate' button to allow itunes to check the app. 6. Select 'Submit' and your app will upload. Hope this helps.
