Quiz questions not in random order

I got my app compiled, and have some questions about the quiz. First, when I tested the app using the .app file I had compiled, the quiz questions are in the same order each time, and are not random. Will the questions become random once the app is live in the app store, or do I need to set something differently? Second, I have about 30 questions in my question pool, but set the quiz up as 10 questions, thinking that would help with the experience, especially with the questions in random order. Should I make the number of questions in the quiz equal to the number I have available? Meaning, I have 30 questions in my pool, is it better to set up the quiz to use 10 questions, or all 30? Finally, what have you found the optimal speed to be? I tried 5 thinking it would give time to read the question, but it was too slow. Thank you!!

Did you set the quiz to be random? You do that in the advanced settings area. If so, they should be random. I've got a number of quizzes that work that way. Personally, I think it's best to set the quiz number to 10 and have more in the database to draw from, like you have. It keeps the quizzes more interesting and hopefully encourages people to play more and longer. I use the default time for the question speed. Don't recall what it is, but it seems to work well.

Yeah, I think the default is 1 for the time. I built the app in version 1.4 but now have access to 1.5 and that may fix it. Would it be advisable to build the whole app over again in 1.5 version? Follow up question. Do any of you have an app that is ONLY a quiz?

Ah, my apps are also built in 1.5 so that's probably why the random feature works. I'd recommend building in 1.5. One of the best features is that you can put your list of questions on a web server and pull them into the app from there. That allows you to easily add and update questions. Plus it's much.easier to build a question file than enter each one individually in buzz touch. None of my apps are just trivia, although I don't think there's anything wrong with doing just trivia. I've seen a lot of plain old trivia apps in the app store.
