header size not working...please help

Hey all! So I have a header image in, got it all working, except the sizing. For some reason it's getting cut off. When i go to increase the size of the header through header image layout it not only increases the view of it, but also the size of image, magnifying it. What should i do to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hi MM2000, I'm not really sure, but what comes to mind might be that your image is actually larger than the devices screen? I believe the iphone is 320x480. Is you image larger than that?

I have to look, I'm not sure. I will try it again with it set to those dimensions. Is this the size i should also set it for Android and tablets?

I believe David updated the code for Header image scaling issues, so please re-download your project and recompile it. The size you use for Android will depend on the screen size of the devices you're making it for. You'll have to find out the screen dimensions of some of the more popular Android phones out there and choose one of the larger ones. You'll probably want to differentiate a different sized image for tablets. We provide the Large Device setting and Small Device setting input areas for doing this.

Thanks! I will go ahead and do that! Ya I saw the size change for the tablets will do! I was thinking a good standard size for the screen would be like the Galaxy S1 size...what do you think?

Honestly, I don't know. Assuming the scaling issue is taken care of, (you'll want to test it out) try to pick one of the larger screen sizes out there so you image will look good scaled up to anything larger, but doesn't take up as much disc space as a full scale image. There is a balancing act between full size/quality and speed that you'll need to pay with. That considered, you may find that a full scale image works just fine, even if you're accessing it from a Data URL.
