Dry Run

I've just completed creating my first app. Is there any way to see how it will work on this site before uploading it to Android Market for testing?

No, the only way to test before sending it to the marketplace is to use the simulator in eclipse and then port it to a device to beta test.

I assume you are 1.4 since I do not see an Early Adapter badge under your name. You can use eclipse and create the .apk and move that over to your SDcard and perform the install. It will work just like you downloaded it from the store. Not sure what you mean by work on this site ?

Hi creativeone, You can, and should test you app on the simulator in eclipse, and on an actual device before releasing it to the public. Check out the 'Help' link above. I believe there are videos covering getting your project up and running in eclipse. Else, I know for a fact that under the Android Resources section there is a link named 'Android SDK Download'. It has directions for properly setting up and running your eclipse environment. @Aaron - What specifically are you confused about?
