Dumb question about submitting an iPhone app

OK, I need some help here. Until I can get an Intel Mac to replace my PowerPC, so I can actually compile my own apps, I'm going to have to outsource that part of it. I found a couple of people on oDesk, which will give me a little more control. Here is what I'm thinking: Finish my app in buzztouch, and download my source code Send the developer I select in oDesk the source code, my provisioning profile, and my certificate Let the developer compile the app and send me back the app file to upload At that point, can I test the app on my iPhone before I upload it? If I want to email it to someone else to test on their iPhone, can I do that? Once I'm ready to upload it to Apple, do I simply take the app file that the developer emailed me, and go to my Apple Developer account and go through the steps of uploading a new app? I have existing apps, so I could use an existing Bundle ID with a new suffix. Is this all there is to it? Will I need to email the developer the source code from buzztouch, my certificate file, and my provisioning profile? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just stoked about doing this!! I can't wait to get a Mac mini so I can just do this all on my own! Good grief this is going to be easier on the Android!

You can test the app on your phone and any other device as long as they are in the provisioning profile. And the best way to deliver the compiled app for doing so is through Test Flight (testflightapp.com). If all looks great, unfortunately if you want the app to be under your account, you'll have to submit it yourself - and the only way to do that with the last changes with Apple is from within Xcode. You'll want/need a new bundle identifier for the app. And, yes, you'll need to send all of the source code, etc. to whomever helps you to get the app compiled. Hope that covered everything.
