configuring password protection

I am designing an application for my company that requires password protection. One question they have is this. Can I program the app to retrieve authentication from our website? Can we program the user info on our site without having to program users through the buzztouch website? I think the answer is yes to this and I think the answer is here http://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5/screen_settingsLogin.php but since I am a big time noob, I do not know what I am looking at. However if I am correct, then I can have my web designer help me.

Yes. You'll have to have your web guy write a script that interfaces with whatever user management device the company wants to use and spit out the code that BT wants to see for verification. That doc file is a good place to start.
