Having trouble running Eclipse on Mac

I am newbie to Buzztouch and Android App development. I have created a Android test app and now wish to review my work. How do I get Eclipse to run/install on my Mac OS X (intel) MacBook? I have downloaded the android-sdk_r13-mac_x86.zip from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html but don't understand how to install it. I seem to be going in circles trying to find and install the SDK starter package and the ADT Plugin. Needless to say, I am lost. Any assistance any of you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest thing to start with is watching the couple of videos that David has about getting Android SDK running. Perhaps that will fill in any blanks you have so far.

This is the best link I've been able to find. I found getting it to run on Mac was incredibly difficult...so I gave up and stayed on Windows. http://www.talkandroid.com/android-sdk-install-guide/

Getting Eclipse to run on a Mac is actually easier than on Windows because the Java part of install required for Windows is not required on a Mac as it is already shipped in OSX If you are still having problems then maybe I can help, see my post and contact details here: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=0311F030675DF938A9F0909 Steve

Thanks, GoNorthWest and Steveh. I was able to install Eclipse and Android SDK on my Mac. However, I keep getting messages pertaining to ADB. For example: 'adb version' failed! dyld: Symbol not found: _ _ _stack_chk_guard Referenced from: /Android_Apps_Dev/android-sdk-mac_x86/platform-tools/adb Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib AND Failed to parse the output of 'adb version' Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

SteveH, I have no doubt you are knowledgeable and can, more than likely, resolve the problem I am having. However, I am currently seeking free advice. Thanks!
