v1.5 Google Maps & Device Data URL's

I've got some google maps that I want to show the devices lat & long. I used the custom URL-Webpage menu item and linked to:http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=215103748627704014967.0004993573a86ab3bae2d&msa=0 That is a hiking trail where I would like to overlay the users location (device lat & long) so I clicked on 'About Sending Device Data in URL's' I am unclear as to what code I should add after the URL. I put: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=215103748627704014967.0004993573a86ab3bae2d&msa=0?deviceLatitude=[deviceLatitude]&deviceLongitude=[deviceLongitude] but it's not working (in the Xcode emulator). Am I doing the right thing here? Can I overlay the device lat & long (users location on the map in real time) by using this method? Thank you, Bruce

The Xcode emulator is not capable of actual GPS functionality...thus it always defaults your location to Apple HQ! In order to see if this really works, you'll need to try this out on your actual device. Mark

I'm not even getting Apple HQ. I'd be pretty happy if I was...

Hi guys, @trailman - Sending device Data in URLs is for when you are sending information that is expected, and can be processed by wherever you are sending it to. I'm guessing google maps isn't expecting you to send it any data aside from the URL so it doesn't do anything with the lat and lon info. You need to look into the google maps options to see if it can even accept extra information and then even display it. If you just want to show the users location as a pin on the map, select that option in the Advanced Properties section of that screen.
