1.5 Image Gallery Features

Hi, In Version 1.5 it would be great if there was an field in the form to add a link to a photo in the gallery. When adding images we have the option of using photos on a website by entering the url. If we could take that one step further and add a link for each image that would be really helpful. I am a photographer that wants to sell images on sale at a stock agency. If someone sees an image that they like they would be able to click on the image and it would take them directly to the stock sales page for that image. Right now in the preliminary design I am using a tab to take people to a page that provides information on buying a photo with a link to my stock agency sales page. Is there another way to add links to each image? Thanks for any assistance you could offer. Regards, Barbara

Hi Barbra, Ian has a good idea there. Or, you could try using a Menu List, with a small icon image for each item, that links to a Custom URL page for each of the images you want to sell. Just an idea. :)

Hi Parker and Ian, Can this code be edited in xtools making the image in the image gallery a link? Any help you could offer on what code to enter so that a user is taken to http://somedomain.com would be appreciated. {itemId:1E20674A5E0101131834EE4, itemType:BT_imageItem,imageTitle:Inviting Beach Chairs, imageName:, imageURL:http://imagedarkroom.com/apps/idr/nature/beachchairs.jpg }, Regards, Barbara

Possibly an easier idea - Use a button menu and use your images (scaled down as thumbnails) as the buttons. Then each button will link to a Custom URL screen for the larger version of that image. I don't really know anything about xtools. Did you mean xcode? The language for projects in xcode is Objective-C. Maybe see ho the code for an existing app is put together to see if you can figure out how to modify the image gallery code? There are tons of free Objective-C tutorials out there, including some in the Apple Developer Center.
