Custom html page does not load image

Hi, I try to load a custom hmtl page from a website with an image (small: 8kb). However the simulator only shows the classical iPad blue ? sign. On an Ipad, mac or pc the image does show as part of the webpage. Am i doing something wrong, or is this a simulator issue? Thx for any suggestions. Albert

i made a mistake: it is a custom URL, not HTML. Albert

Could it be that the picture is not in a readable format?

Hi Unknown, Are you using iOS v1.5? Like Dkeller asked, what format is the image? Are there any special (&^%$#@!~ etc) characters in the URL? Are you linking to a URL that displays the image or the image itself?

Hey Albert, Try creating a Custom HTML screen and opening it in the buzztouch control panel. You should see a large text field area to enter custom html for making a mobile webpage. Click on the button labeled 'source' just above and to the left of that field. Copy everything that shows up in the below text field, and use that as the template for the image page you are having trouble with. Just take the copied code and add what you have in the <body> and <title> tags. Let me know if this works.

Hello! I have the same problem. Just blue? where all the images should be. It works in browsers and if I use short url web tool. It is just in Dev and simulator i see the blue ? I have been struggling with this like forever now and i think I have tried all. I even re installed xcode. Nothing happens. What is wrong? Help needed please! Tried example above but still the same blue? I wrote about it in the Custum url frakout Is it a xcode or Bt or Dreamweaver problem? I have been having this problem since custom url freakout and i am running out of ideas. Everything was working fine, and then it freakt out! Is it the file structure in xcode or my dreamweaver site? Any ideas someone?

The other thing that might be causing this issue is whether or not the image was properly added to xcode or eclipse. Your app will need to be recompiled after any files are added to the project. This will create a new app with the files embedded within. Try running your app on the simulator again. Get to the point right before you access this screen and clear your console. Then open up this screen. The console will display some information on how the screen is being created and if the image is included in the app or not. Copy and post that console output here if you don't understand what it's saying.

Ok Xcode seemed to be pointing url to a cache rather than the url online. This could have bee the problem. Cleard cache in simulator, re compiled and checked settings in dreamweaver. Everythings working agan! :)
