Favorite user-editable menus?

Is there any way currently in buzztouch that allows the user to create his or her own menu list of Favorite menu items? For my transit app I would like to allow the user to create their own menu of favorite stations so they don't have to scroll through the giant menu of stations every time they use the app. Or, alternatively, is there any way to automatically create a menu list based on frequently used menu options? ie the menu would populate with the 10 stations most recently selected by the user? Thanks!

Hi in DC: Two ideas. One involving a backend, another without. Either way you'll need to figure out how to keep a list of selected routes (favorites) for the user. I would use the device id as the unique identifier to keep track. For the server solution, anytime a user taps a location you post a backend request to your site to save the device info in a database. Thie app passed the route id (or name or whatever) the device id and the timestamp. Next, you create a menu list screen that pulls the list of favorites from your server for that device. The menu list would use a dataURL that pointed to your server. That URL would output JSON data for a menu list as described here: http://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5/screen_menuList.php For phone-side solution, no backend logic. Same idea but you'll need to figure out a way to save each selection on the phone. When the user taps a location you would capture the location id and save it to a list on the phone. Lots of ways to do this (text files, databases, etc) but all are more difficult than most folks realize. You could do it, just a bit more challenging than the backend option - my opinion. The buzztouch control panel doens't have any functionality for capturing random data like this so you'll need to get your head around an alternative.

I am new to buzztouch and so far I like it. I have been looking for the same Favorite menu list for my app. I am currently working on an app that streams instructional videos and would like to give the user the ability to select their favorite videos from the menu. I wish there was a way to do that in the future since am more of a designer than a programmer. Is there an easy way to create a plugin for this? Thanks
