Link my app to facetime

I want to link an app I am making to facetime, how do I link my app to another app such as facetime?

you cannot link an outside app to facetime.apple just wont have it.the following is from the facetime wiki: FaceTime works by connecting an iPhone 4, a fourth generation iPod touch, a second generation iPad, or a computer with Mac OS X to another similar device; the previous generations of iPhone and iPod Touch are not currently supported. FaceTime is not compatible with non-Apple devices or any other video calling services. The early 2011 revision of the MacBook Pro introduced high-definition FaceTime which may only be used with devices that have a HD FaceTime camera.

Then how do the apps that use contact pics connect to facetime? You tap on the pic to call them on facetime, it opens facetime... Sorry, i'm an ametuer at this.

No need to apologize, there are no dumb questions.apple can better explain the inner workings of facetome, have you read up on facetime?....apple dev console has plenty of good info on this.
