1.5 offline?

I have searched and read all the topics with 1.5 offline app configuration but am having a problem now. the links i add are not taking. Example - i added a youtube link but it continues to give me the default BT link. I did start this project online but followed instructions to delete the conf and cloud url, then copy the view source code into BT config, clean the build then simulate. anyone have success in making an app 100% offline after you started a online version?

Hi in AL: Did you see this? http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=37AEE1DAEA72B1B46C1BB0F I searched 'offline' in the search box. The challenge I think you'll have is making an app 100% offline but also using URL's to things like YouTube. External data, like YouTube videos and such will always need an internet connection. It's tough to get your head around what needs a connection and what doesn't. A trick that I've always used is this: Have a look at your app's config data file. Save a copy of it so you can work with it in an editor. Search for URL's. If a URL exists in an elements property list it will need online access. Example: An image that uses an imageName and not imageURL will not need online access. But, an image with a URL will. For web-pages and other content, if the files is in the Xcode project it won't need internet, else, it will. Hope this helps.

yes, i did see this one and followed as well. I am thinking the best course would be start over and kill the url and cloud reference from the beginning and then download xcode build.

Redownloading the xcode project is fine... but...the only thing that will be different is the BT_config.txt file included in the download (with no dataURL because you cleared it from your control panel). Try this: a) Visit Core Settings > Data URL. Click the link to 'show configuration data.' This will open a new window. b) With your config. data showing in a new window, copy it to your mouse. c) In Xcode, find BT_config.txt. Overwrite the contents of it with what you copied. You should now have the exact same thing as re-donwloading the project. The idea behind the 'show data' link in your control panel is that you can quickly get to the latest config data for your app. Some do this and paste it in Xcode then submit app updates....some to it to save it on their DropBox, etc. Bet that helps.

I was questioning how to put custom themes offline, but i see that they are generated inside the config.txt! great idea!!!
