Hey guys, I need some guidance. I've watched every tutorial I can find but I'm still getting many errors and am stuck. I installed and configured the latest Java JDK, setup google play services and selected google API as my build target, but still errors! I spent a lot of time on the app with buzztouch and I thought it may be a problem on the buzztouch side, so I made a quick, simple Hello World app to test with but it's doing the same thing! What version of Buzztouch, what version of Eclipse, Windows or Mac? Which version of SDK do you have on your machine now? Also post an image or two so that we can see what you see. Also, get in the habit of googling phrases that you see in the CatLog report. For instance, here is the phrase that I chose: 'The resource appears to be unused " Note that I took out the word R.drawable.bt_full_screen, which would be specific to Buzztouch only. So, the first answer is http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8587462/android-lint-how-to-hide-a-warning-the-resource-xxx-appears-to-be-unused and in it, they mention that must have namespaces done right... and so on, you read what Google gives you, and try to transfer the knowledge gained to your situation. However, don't worry too much, Eclipse gives trouble to everyone in the beginning, but later it just disappears from the sight.

I'm using windows 7-64bit, eclipse (ADT) version 23.0.4, installed SDK 4.4.2 and 5.0.1 and 2.2. I've installed Java JDK and JRE 1.8.0_25. I have a screenshot but I'm not sure how to upload an image to the forum? Thank you for your help!

OK. Download SDK for Android 4.0, the number is 14. Use only that and forget about higher and newer SDKs. When you download the project from the control panel, use only BT version 3.0, the newer one, as it is written exactly for Android 14. Next, in the Problems section, mark all rows with Ctrl-A and delete all of them by pressing Delete. Confirm. Yes, it is allowed and you can do it often. Then execute Project, Clean from the main menu of Eclipse. It will clear all or almost all red marks in the AndroidManifest and layout files. If there are red marks AFTER you "clean" the project, well, pay attention, there will be some real errors in the manifest and layout files. Then see where are the remaining red marks in Eclipse. If it is a simple project, there may be no red marks at all. If there are, click on the name of the Java file with the red mark and check what is missing. Usually, it will lead to accompanying XML files in the /res/layout section, so check them out once again and after you do, execute Project Clean once again. You can click on every red mark and it will tell you what is wrong and will offer you quick ways to improve. Chose carefully, what Eclipse offers may not be really healthy for your code, but then, again, it might just be so. That's it for now, do all this and report.

I loaded it into Eclipse, and had about 9 errors. That was without linking to the Google Play Services Library. After I did that, all the errors went away, and I was able to compile your app with no problems. Did you link to the Google Play Services Library? What Android API do you have selected? I was able to get the test app running on an emulator! Thanks guys! I had to "clean" it before it would let me run it and also mess around with setting up a different emulator. Now I just need to get my actual app up and running. Will post with results. Thank you!

Oh-ehlo I could write you a book about all the times I forgot to do a clean before trying to run apps I've worked on lol!!! heck just the other night I had to ask someone how to change the relationship root view controller from one view to another because I couldn't get it to drag...come to find out forgot to press ctrl hahaha It happens and we all have been there, unless you're me and in that case still there!
