BZ server having problems?

Hi there, It seems that the server is running a little slow these days. It takes a lot just to open the app and edit it. Also true for the forum. On my iPhone I can't even refresh my app sometimes and it gives me a message about being unable to download data. Any changes that you are doing? BR, Vali

Well, yes. I don't have yet an app in App Store, but I am so far from where I was several weeks ago that I need to thank them too for the wonderful service and support they are giving to us. And giving is a good word. Thanks BT! As for the server issues, I'm just flagging it to the whoever is handling this kind of stuff. Have a better day !

Yes, getting quite a few app timeout errors in my android dashboard. Strangely, no 1 star ranting comments on the apps yet! If funds allow them, it might be worth BT using 2 servers? One for BT one for the forum. At least we could report dying servers on one or the other. I guess it might get better anyway, after the surge of visitors and resource use after the v1.5 update quiets down.

Should be much faster today....super tough keeping up on the backend. Placing your app's configuration file on a DropBox or other web-server is very helpful in times like this. Lots and lots of folks do it this way to protect themselves from the result of traffic spikes on this end.

Have experienced some time outs myself. Just trying to get to the forum had timeouts. But, know the Buzz team is working hard to resolve and appreciate them!

Hi David, Maybe it would be a good idea to make a new topic with a tutorial for all folks here to follow in order to put the app's config file on a different server. I'm going to do it first day tomorrow. Thanks anyway for you hard work!

Yes Moofa, that is a great idea. Have looked into it some and a tutorial would be great.

TONS of tutorials need to be made (Video and Written). We'll get there eventually. We could literally spend 24 hours a day trying to teach folks how to use the tools, or, we could continue to evolve the tools - we're trying to do both because both are important ;-) The best place to start is to take some time and read the documents. Literally read them, try to understand how the data configuration works, lots will be clearer then.

Thanks Dave. Yes, I would prefer you guys evolve the tools. But you can't blame a guy for asking:) I am learning much by reading the docs. After digesting them a few times things get a little clearer. Terry

Idea - create a youtube channel (if not already) let the users who can do screen capture (excellent quality) submit tutorial and you guys approve them. Let the people help. I learned 1.5 by looking at the 3-4 videos on top of forum, it was 95% of what i needed.
