Google maps problem on android

Have done everything in the readme file, double checked everything to make sure all is as should be. App has been released into market and accepted. Have downloaded from market and the maps show pins on grey background. This happened after moving the layout of the menus. Locations was at the bottom and moved it to the top in buzztouch. Have put it back to bottom with no joy. Have checked both the keys are in correct position and the debuggable is set to false. the api key points to the key Release. If nobody can help with this can I delete from eclipse and reload, then reload the API keys and change as in the readme txt including changing debuggable from true to false. Then export in eclipse to point to the certificate for the release key. Will this work without ruining the app already in the market. App is Eat in kent in the lifestyle section for just in section.

Gray map backgrounds (no tiles) are 100% always related to your Google Map API's key. If it worked before, and now doesn't, something's screwy with the way you compiled (Release, Debug, etc). Have a look at the map screen's layout.xml file and make sure it's using the same API key you compiled for.

Have now sorted this problem out NOT in a conventional way. Map screens layout.xml file was pointing to the release key correctly. I swapped the debug key round with the release key in the strings file, changed the version and recompiled then uploaded to the market and activated this new version. Then I changed the keys back to there original positions in the strings file, changed version again then recompiled and uploaded back to the market the activated this version. Updated the app on my phone and now the maps are working fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
