I know this is release 1 of 3. But now maybe we can discuss items that old 1.4 was lacking in the 'webview'. Unlike Apple's webview not all the nice Chorme features are in there. Looking at the code looks like you are using webview client vs webChromeClient. Just wondering if the new 1.5 webview is going to handle 'GPS location from websites' / Javascript / . and all the other items like dialing phone numbers from webpages.. In the old 1.4 I was parsing out all the url's. Also in the new code does the file bt_screens_webview take place of the customURL? Thanks buddy, Very excited to help get 1.5 Android stable!!! Phase 2 will be rolling out all the misc. screen types - using the chrome client vs. the webview (generic) makes tons of sense. We should get this worked out before phase 2. Yes, custom URL screens load in screen_webView.java Maye you wanna spear-head the chrome client thing and work out, fix, tweak the screen_webView to the way you think it should go. Thinking you're probabaly more experieced at web-centric issues than us from your previous work with v1.4? Putting this list here to keep track. I just wish we didn't have to go all through this for a nice solid webview. No special order. We'll see how it goes. 1 - Webpages to Prompt to allow Access to phones GPS location 2 - Handle tel: numbers when click launch phone 3 - Handle emails when click have launch phones intent 4 - options to add in Android market link 5 - Handle javascript prompts 6 - Playing of 'video' either in webview or in default app. Such as HTML5 / Flash / Youtube 7 - Option to long click images and have options to save them 8 - Address within a webpage can even launch 'google maps' or navigator ect.
