Menu is OK, but back home is not OK

I start the app with eclipse emulator, all is ok, a menu (list) with some 2 tabs(sports and extras). At the top right of my app I have an Info button where there is some information about the app, I push on that, and when Im into that, I put a Home button in the same place to go back to the app (called Sport tab) . I push on it and I return to the sports tab, but the problem is that the tabs which are at the bottom cant be seen. Why? hope you understand, thank you so much.

So you have a screen with tabs and when returning to that screen they are gone? Or is the screen not configured right in your BT control panel? Maybe hide tabs is selected?

This may be something that will be updated in Android v1.5, buzztouch is already rolling out changes.

@luisba313: It gets a little confusing sometimes when balancing iPhone and Android dev. Specifically, what your end users expect. A back button should not exist in the nav bar on Android, especially in the top right. The top right button should take somebody 'forward' - not backward. Android users totally understand, and expect, to use the hardware back button. So, your home screen button leads to the next screen, good. The next screen should not have a back button, the user will use their hardware key back button to go back if needed. Keep in mind that they may also minimize your app and launch another app. Long-tap the home key will show previous activities, allowing the user to jump back in your app where they left off. Lastly, Android tabs. Tabs in Android will 'go away' when a user taps something in the tabs screen, like a menu item or a top-right button. This is normal and expected. Again, users have an expection and it's our job (you and us) to figure out what's 'normal' and design to that. Hope this helps. - loose the right back button ;-)
