GREAT Concept, but...

BuzzTouch is a GREAT concept, but in my opinion it is RUINED by its own nature because all data files reside on the cloud and not inside the actual app on the user's phone. Many users don't have a constant internet connection, so when they run the app, the first thing they see is a screen with blank options!!! If there an OPTION to integrate the data files locally in the app?

Yes. Read the docs. You can make the app completely offline. Check things out before you start complaining.

I am not complaining, I am just asking. I have checked the Docs and could not see any instructions how to configure the xcode project to make it offline. Could you kindly direct me to which specific part of the docs, details this? thanks a lot.

Yes managed to find some good info in the forums. My problem was that I was working with 1.4 that's why I couldn't find much info. Thanks a lot, and IanJames good luck with your apps

Hi @ bjadams, welcome. I'm glad you asked to be a part of the Early Adopter process - doesn't usually happen a day after somebody finds us ;-) So, totally understand the confusion, this stuff is very hard to figure out sometimes. 'RUINED' is a strong word, 'GROWING' and 'IMPROVING' and 'HELPING' seem more appropriate. Have a look at the docs, see if you can get your head around the offline concept and relax a bit before jumping to any conclusions.

Being template-based I thought there would be a clickable option so that all content is downloaded with the xcode zip!!!! Lazy me!!!! I think I now understand the main concept. I will be experimenting & tinkering! Thanks for all the help & this great tool!

No problem. We don't consider this a 'template' based approach. It's a common thought, that our approach is 'like all the other app builders out there.' We like to think we are TOTALLY different. Mostly because we want you to be free to do whatever you want, not use a template, not have an app that looks and feels like 40,000 others (yes that many are powered by this). It's easy to assume that it's not flexible after using v1.4. That version was really an experiment to help us understand a) if anyone wanted to do this and b) How important it was for folks to have more control. In the two years we've been doing it we have learned 100% how BAD a template based thing can be (it can be good, but not if you want to help folks actually create something of their own) and how much people LOVE what we're doing. Sorry AppMakr + dozens of other approaches ;-) Dig in, consider what you make YOURS and get as creative as your skill will let you. Oh, also, have a look at the facebook page for lots of examples of how DIFFERENT the results are.
