Buzztouch would be a great mobile site template

it would be great to have the option to convert the app in buzztouch to a html option therefore having a mobile site look just like the app. It seems like mobile sites are getting so popular and with the app store restrictions i see more people complaining. Thoughts anyone on extracting the app to html?

If you are developing on a Mac, you have an awesome HTML IDE with Dashcode.

One of the near future upgrades is html5 for mobile web apps. It's listed as an option when you download your source code. It'll be great once it's ready.

Have it web browser compatible too, so it could be additionally promoted in the usual 'traditional' ways.

Here's a screen shot of the download html option that's in development and not available yet. http://www.jc-evans.com/uploads/screenshot.png

i hear you, i found the site Saturday after using Appmakr and having my 20yr write code, nothing was working as a good solution for us hobby guys that cant dedicate full time hours to it. i redid my app over the weekend and submitted yesterday, site is amazing. my only concern is we are depending on their server speed and we are held hostage if they start to charge. love and i mean love the fact i can edit without having to submit a app change.

There is a way to move your configuration data to your own server. I think the details are in the docs. I know this is a concern that people have raised before on the forum. Buzztouch did a massive server upgrade a couple months ago too. But, it is an issue to think about. Completely agree with you about loving the ability to modify an app without resubmitting. I tried appmakr too, but hit a technical glitch that they still haven't answered. Nice idea and site, but not nearly as professional or as cutting edge as the guys here at BT. Good luck on your app approval. Make sure to post on the BT facebook page once you get it approved.

Just a thought - when 'download as HTML5' is available, we should in theory, then be able to upload to Phonegap and port to Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile7 AND Blackberry from the same source?
