Better Quality Banner Logo?

Is there any way to stop the banner logo from going so pixelated once the app is compiled? I create the logo at exactly the right size and looks great on the computer but gets quite pixelated on the app, Is it stored locally within the app or pulled from the internet? Was wondering if I can download the source and add the logo at that stage to stop it compressing :-) Also on that note, if buzztouch goes down will the apps still function or will they fail to load correctly? In other words are they self contained or do they need to pull stuff from the buzztouch servers? Thanks in Advance :-)

Try using a larger image in the correct proportions and use the bt cropping tool. Even then, it's not always that sharp, but I've found that approach better than creating an image exactly to size. I guess vector images are the way to go.

Could this be related to previewing in the iPhone simulator not iPhone 4 simulator and then viewing the App on iPhone 4 device after compiling? I personally have not had this problem and if it is related to iphone to iphone 4 resolution differences this is what I recommend you do to fix it. I supply two version of the same image. One optimized for iPhone and the other optimized for iPhone 4. What you need to do to make this work is create your first image at let's say for this example 300 x 300 pixels. Save the file as [email protected] and then I reduce the size by 50% 150x150 and save the file again as whatever.jpg. In buzztouch always reference the file that does NOT have the @2x in the file name. iOS will automatically look for the @2x file if need when using retina display on iPhone 4. This applies for all images in the app including icons files, etc. Make sure you add both files in the BT_Images folder in Xcode.
