1 app + 1.5 for both iPhone and Droid. how to work with both

Once 1.5 for droid is out i would like to be able ( which i know i will) to generate de codes for droid. NOW MY QUESTIONS IS.. while there are functions that you can use in both DROID AND IPHONE, what about the ones you can't.. l I created an music app, and on that app there are songs and if you click (in the case of the iPhone they will take you to the ITunes store, I would like to do the same for the droid. How can i differentiate , one from the other, how can i set the links to Amazon Music for that matter for the droid having at the same time the link for the i tunes store on apple? is this possible or going to be possible, or for that matter is there a link that will take you to a generic site where you can choose which store (amazon / i tunes) to buy your music? thanks

Hi Conundrum, One solution to what you are describing would be to have your song link point to a small webpage that detects which device is being used (iOS or Android) and then redirects to the prober store. This could also be done as you mention, where the original link opens a new page where the user chooses which device they are using. This would probably be easier for you to setup, but adds opportunity for user error (choosing the wrong store).

Google is your friend. ;) . I just did a simple google search and it looks like this might work for you: http://detectmobilebrowsers.mobi/ or this: http://nabtron.com/redirect-visitor-detect-browser-iphone-ipod-version-site-using-php/2230/ They'll probably need some tweaking on your end, but should get you going in the right direction. Be sure to read the comments on the second article.

''now the question is where do i put this'' The general idea is that you save your .php file online somewhere (your server, dropbox account, etc?) and you use a Custom URL page to point to that file's URL with the Advanced Properties - Screen Data URL field. The .php file runs its logic, determines which device is running the app, and returns the JSON data with the appropriate URL to the device. The device then opens up that returned JSON data in a Custom URL screen. Look at the Documentation (Help > Documentation) for a Custom URL / HTML page to see the required JSON data for that type of screen. Then be sure that your .php file returns that format JSON data to the device for each option you have.
