Image Gallery - Not Displaying Image

I am creating a Art App for my work and wanted to use the Image Gallery. I have dragged the images i want to be displayed into the BT_Images Folder and typed the exact name of the file added in the BT_Images into the Image File Name (mycoolimage.png). But when i refresh my app in the simulator and click onto the title of the Image in the menu feature > The next screen shows a white screen with a grey question-mark (?). Can anyone guide me where i am going wrong as coding is not my forte! Thank you!

Have you dragged them on finder or xcode? Because you have to drag them to BT_Images while on xcode. If you do in finder, it won't work. So delete the images if you did copy them in finder, then add them while using xcode. Hope this helps.

The Finder is the default file manager used on the Mac OS and Mac OS X operating systems that is responsible for the overall user-management of files, disks, network volumes and the launching of other applications. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finder_(software) Then you have to wait for David or Parker to solve your problem, sorry I couldn't help.

Two things. 1. Make sure when you drag the images into the BT_images folder that you do this within xcode. When you drag them into the folder, you should get a message asking if you want to Copy items into the destination group's folder (if needed). Check this box and also Create groups for any added folders. 2. Refreshing in the simulator won't show the images. You need to re-compile (in xcode 4.0 you select Product-->Run).

MGoBlue.....You are a legend! Thank you very much as the Images are appearing now! Is there a way where i can have a gallery of my all my paintings / images displayed as thumbnails so the user can see all the images on one page and click to enlarge the one he/she choses! Click Apple's Photos App? Thank you Ninjaseio for your help too!

You can do the gallery using custom icons. I remember seeing a thread on the forum where someone was discussing that. Try searching and see if you can find it.

I ran into the same issue as @Art_Malik, but figured it out by chance. My question is, if I want to add a new image to my app once it's published, will I have to recompile and resubmit to the app store? Assuming I do not want to host the image online that is... Thanks in advance!

Art_Malik: Yeah, create a buttons menu, use thumbnail of an image as a button icon and link each button to an image gallery that has that image only. Repeat for all the images you have. But remember this will look good only if you have like maximum 9 or 16 images, not more. If you have more, created suitable number of button menus. Dkeller: If you don't want to use online images, you have to recompile&resubmit.

@Art_Malik. Check this app third screen, called Wallpaper. Its a button menu with images (background images) that when clicked open up a image gallery consisting of just one picture. For each button I have on gallery with just one image in it. Kind of tricky but handy. http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/todayspicture/id447699941?mt=8 /Stefan

@Dkeller - Yes if you want to include the image in the app you must resubmit to app store. Otherwise no need if you're hosting the image online.
