Hi needaname: iAds are a ticky thing. Apple controls what ad content is sent to your app and the simulator will NEVER get actual ads. The simulator will get test ads. Are you seeing tests but non real ads or nothing at all? Type iAd in the forum search box for tons of discussions about this.

Hi David, There are no test ads, i'm not seeing anything at all. I did see someone have the same problem and you sorted it out for him by him sending the app to you, Thanks

what post are you referrring to that I helped with? There are thousands of them ;-) Does the other post show any other info, like what I did? It's generaly vary reliable - check the box on a screen to 'include ads' and they just 'work' Hmm??? Post the URL to the other posts here so I can see what ended up happening with that app.

Ah, I see. Yup, that person also reported the same type of trouble. Have you looked at the console in Xcode when the app is running? Never heard more details with the other post to still a mystery. Apple's ad server sends different results for testing / live etc. and the results determine if the ad banner will show. Hard to explain really but try to understand that the ad banner will not show if it doesn't get what it expects from Apple. Launch with Xcode , open console, see what if any ad banner errors / details are reported there. I'm thinking Apple isn't sending you the test ads for some reason so the view on the screen that holds the ad isn't showing (it needs something to show)

Hi it says this: BT_screen_menuList: showHideAdView: ADBannerView: WARNING A banner view (0x65a4f00) has an ad but may be obscured. This message is only printed once per banner view. Does this mean that they will work when it is up on the app store, Thanks

It should show ads in 'test' mode in the simulator or device. Try this.... a) Create a new v1.5 in your control panel. b) Don't add any new screens. It will have one generic default menu to start with c) Visit the menu screen it comes with and turn on the ads option. Save d) Download the very basic, empty project. e) Compile > Run. Do you see the test add in the home-screen menu?

Hi, when i compiled it the app tried to open in a very old version of xcode which doesn't have a simulator. i then open the 4.0.2 version of xcode and open this project from it and when i try to run it it has 9 issues to do with the ad view so it won't run on the simulator, Sorry about all of this, i am very new to it all. thanks
