Will all my apps still work fine on iOS 5?

When apple release iOS 5 next month, will all my apps that I have created with buzztouch still work fine on the new apple software or will I have any actions to do? I have 9 live apps at the moment and if there is anything we need to do then I need to start working on this ASAP. Thanks

For the most part, yes, your apps should continue to work fine. Any changes that are necessary will need to be made on our end, and in that case all you'll have to do is re-download you buzztouch project and re-submit it as an updated version after we make any necessary changes. But, we'll cross that road when we get to it. If we even need to.

Good thoughts here. We've been through lots of iOS version transitions and there has never been an issue of previous versions failing. However, there are occasions where the project source-code for your apps (the project you download) does need adjusting. Like @Parker said, this is our responsibility to fix. In these cases, it only matters to you when (and if) you want to submit an app updated. The process would then mean you would first download your latest project, compile it, then submit it. Not a big deal and very normal. Apple does an amazing job at not 'breaking things' when they issue iOS updates. Consider how bad it would be if half-a-million App Store apps suddenly didn't work - they have lots of insentive to get it support older devices and older code ;-)

Well I have now downloaded the iOS 5 beta on my iPhone and all my apps seem to work fine - so fingers crossed! I just has this horrible thought that all my apps would stop working. What prompted this is that some of my apps on my phone have recently had updates for iOS 5 support Thanks for you help

@ninjaselo: I wonder if iOS5 made any changes to the way YouTube is handled? Maybe try a Custom URL screen (if you have not already) ... what happens? I'de be surprised if iOS suddenly won't allow YouTube - maybe though? On the iOS 5 checklist we have so we can test when it comes out.

I don't think iOS stopped allowing youtube because only one of my apps video section is not working.

Agree. Maybe something different about that video? Not sure. You know most of the tricks. Console, messages, try it in Safari first, etc. If you can't get it to work, post the YouTube URL (if it's public). I heard about one the other day that would not play on mobile...it turned out that YouTube actually prevented it from playing on mobile. Some copyright thing or something. It was strange but did have a little message about 'not available for mobile'
