Bottom Nav Bar

Ok, I'm sure I'm missing something key, but I just can't seem to find a way to create a bottom nav bar (see this app for an eg of what I mean -http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ed-tech-crew/id448503543?mt=8). In my theme, I've set 'Bottom Tool Bar Style' to transparent... but I never see anything across the bottom.... + I never see any options for adding buttons/icons etc to a bottom bar....??? I wonder if I'm lost due to not knowing what name goes with what feature...?? Tanx in advance 4 ur assistance! ;]

Hi You need to define this in the Application Control Panel-> Manage Layout. This is where you deiced whether you want to have a tabbed layout (bottom buttons) or a non tabbed layout. But be aware that you need to create the screens FIRST in order to create a Tabbed layout. So you need to create e.g screens like Home About Us Facebook etc... And when you are at the Manage Layout click the Tabbed Layout so it opens. You will get several options like order, name, icon and sound effect to attach to each and every tab. Let me know how it worked out for you Br/Stefan

Thanks Stefan! I misinterpreted the Tab layout to mean that the app would have tabbed screens & not be controlled by the button menus I'd set up.... IYKWIM.... I should have tested it, not assumed I knew what it meant!! tanx

Where is this Manage Layout option? I just don't see it under 'Application Control Panel'. Many thanks.

Hi Kris, You've probably tried this, but as someone who constantly gets lost myself, I thought I'd post this set through: Click on the 'My Apps' green tab at the top of this page. > click on your app > the box on the left if the application control panel & the 3rd blue line of text should read 'Manage Layout' hope it 's there for you!

"I misinterpreted the Tab layout to mean that the app would have tabbed screens & not be controlled by the button menus I'd set up." Yes me too!!! Spent ages digging around for this. The instructions should just say that a tabbed layout is one that gives you a bottom menu bar and a non tabbed one doesn't! Saying non-tabbed is for simpler sites is meaningless.
