Powerpoint animations + functionality not preserved

Hi, The powerpoint doc upload option supports only slides in raw powerpoint format, am I right? You can't import a macro enabled powerpoint so that any animations / buttons retain their functionality? Just wondering... Tanx

Hi @jd If you mean, do I know how to make animations in powepoint, the answer is yes. They work great in powerpoint, but I can't preserve their functionality in this context.

Perhaps find an open office or ms office app - I know they're out there. If you can get a macro enabled presentation to work via one of those apps, at least you'll know if it's possible or not.

This is a good point. I seriously doubt the iOS built-in-browser will do any PowerPoint animations. But, you could test this by... a) Make a powerpoint with some animations. b) Plop it on a webserver, dropbox, anywhere with URL to load it. c) Visit it in some browsers on your regular computer. Safari, FireFox, Explorer. Note how they behave. I'll be they are a bit 'different' than each other. d) Visit the URL in mobile safari on iPhone or iPad. Same thing...does it work. Highly unlikely. Another thought... I wonder how animations in Keynote (Apple's presentation software) would work? Hmm.. Could try importing PowerPoint to KeyNote then using that file. Could work?

ahhhhh, all gr8 points!! I currently have this powerpoint online, & working with all animations... BUT only because I've repackaged it as a FLASH object!! :{} I like your Keynote idea, David - I'm going to try that!!! If it succeeds, I'll return to do the happy dance! Thanks again!
