Background Image from URL in v1.5

I've searched and found a number of forum conversations about this problem, but I can't find a solution... :{ I've added 2 background images (for each device) to my theme & to a menu screen - but neither is working. Here's a screenshot of my control panel - http://share.ovi.com/media/Polz.public/Polz.10573 <a href=http://share.ovi.com/media/Polz.public/Polz.10573><img src=http://media.share.ovi.com/m1/lt/3120/0abbbebc73a54a33b7dbde7098719eca.jpg border=0 title=Screen shot 2011-09-02 at 9.39.58 PM - Share on Ovi alt=Screen shot 2011-09-02 at 9.39.58 PM - Share on Ovi width=280 height=229 /></a> The instructions say that To load an image from a URL, enter the web-address in the box. Downloaded images are cached on the device and only need to download the first time - this increases performance a great deal, so I want to use an image from a URL, rather than an image saved into X-code. I also read somewhere that you use either a URL, OR an image Name (if using image saved in X-Code)... is this correct? Any tips greatly appreciated!! Thanx in advance!

Whether you have it downloaded once or have it in the images folder in Xcode, it will be saved to the phone the same way. If the image address changes and the app is refreshed, the image will no longer show up; however, placing the image in the image folder in Xcode will always make the image accessible to the app whether it has an internet connection or not.

possible if your using a free service to store you images. that might be the problem. Im not sure. Im pretty sure they have countermeasures for this type of use. Again I might be way off.

@ wendymadeit: Image URL's are super-duper reliable. Try this.... a) Enter the URL you're using in the address bar of your regular browser. Make sure it loads ;-) b) Assuming it does, and loads an actual image (not an html web-page that has an image embedded it it's code, just the actual image file that ends with .jpg or .png... c) Set the image URL in the control panel like you were...remove the image file name ....Save d) Launch the app in Xcode, click Refresh on the home screen in the app. e) Open the Console in Xcode. The console will show you exactly 'where' the app is looking for the image, whether it's downloading it or using it from the cache or the Xcode project. It should also show a message if it had any trouble downloading it and saving it from the image URL.
