App Rejected: 2.13: Apps that are primarily marketing materials or advertisements will be rejected

Is Apple not accepting Apps for businesses anymore? I'm really at lost at the moment as I've just started a business in developing apps for business owners such as restaurants, retailers and so on. Any ideas or tips that I can incorporate into my apps to have it approved? Sigh ... ------------------------------ 2.13 We found that your app provides a limited set of features and functionality, and focuses primarily on marketing or promoting your business, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We encourage you to review your app concept and evaluate whether you can incorporate different content and features that are in compliance with the Guidelines. ------------------------------

if its for a buisness. I suggest you make it as interactive as you can. Not just here we are, this is what we do, here is our phone number. And also it depends on which apple app inspectors desk it landed on that day and if he and his GF had a fight that night. You could probably resubmitt it and it get approved.

I am not able to code and i rely heavily on the available app features that buzztouch provides. I can most probably include in a Multiple Choice Quiz feature to the app and hope it passes. Would be great if Buzztouch can introduce more interactive features at our disposal.

I've two 2 rejections recently for apps with just text / pictures / youtube videos for not taking advantage the functionalities of iOS. So far when I've resubmitted with a quiz they've been ok. One wip at the minute so fingers crossed. They seem to be tightning up on this & on book type apps as well.

@adamos: 'More interactive features' - feel free to provde some ideas ;-) The best apps are creative - fun - educational - memorable. The general idea is that an app that can be easily reproduced as a mobile web-page should probably not be an app in the first place (html 5 web apps work well for this). Apple is very sensitive and ciritcal when it comes to THEIR App Store. They don't want folks 'taking advantage' of their marketing efforst by submitting simple, basic apps. I don't have any way to know what you're creating but do understand your frustration - it's really difficult to predict what Apple 'wants' sometimes. The best advice I can offer is to get as creative and FUN as possible with the skills you have ;-)

@david: What about having a mini forum feature? Something where users can leave comments. Similar feature can be found in the Eurosport App. Buzztouch can charge for this and i'm more than happy to fork out money for this. Would be great if you can have a look at my app. How can I send it to you? Only if you have the time to check it out :D Anyway, I've resubmitted the app to apple with some additional new features in it. Thanks again. Keep up the good work!
