iPhone source code on Windows 7

According to the website, you need xcode to compile your app for iphone. Upon googling xcode (I know basically zip about code - trying to learn), I found that this only runs on a Mac computer. Is there a workaround for this, or do I have to content myself with launching my app solely for android users? (Which is difficult enough for someone who doesn't have a clue about code, and paying for someone to do this for me is simply not an option right now) Thank you so much!

Unfortuantely, you will need a mac to run Xcode. There is no other work around. Windows can only accomodate your android build.

And you need an Intel-based Mac, so the older ones won't work. I bought myself a cheap, used Mac Mini from Craigslist in order to get into the game. But make sure the processor is Intel based, or it won't work. And...all those tutorials you see out there about running Mac OS X in VMware and other virt apps...don't go that route. Apple won't accept submissions from setups like that.

Ha, oh well. Getting a Mac is not an option right now either. :) Guess I'll have to stick to Android. Thanks a lot, though.

Well, the other option is to ask people in this forum to compile and test for you. Several people have offered to do so.

@GoNorthWest: That's very cool! I would definitely download that. However, I'm actually not an owner of an iPhone. In fact, I'm actually a religious Sister (a nun) who is the technology wizard for my community. That's the main reason I'm trying to do this cheaply. And, I actually don't own a smartphone, so I'm relying pretty much exclusively on the Android simulator to test this thing out. I know people who have them though, so that will help! Hi @CBreeze, Unfortunately, a MAC running Mac OS X is required to run Xcode, which is needed to build iOS applications. It cannot be done with any version of Windows. Mark

Awsome, I may just take you up on that. I've got a bid in on a Mac on ebay. THANK YOU SOOOOO much for telling me about intel processor. I'm a dunce when it comes to computers and I would NEVER have known had you not spoken up. Blessings...
