No Emulator - HELP?

This is my first attempt at an app. I followed all instructions step byt step & all is well except No Emulator appears as it should. I do get an error in the console: invalid command-line parameter: Files. Hint: use '@foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'. please use -help for more information I have tried this on two windows machine with the same result. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Thanx in advance -Tim

hey Tim I got that error this morning and tracked it down to the fact that my app name had a space in it. ie. my app. it needs to be myapp no space. my_app also thru an exception So you need to remove the space and then set up the android sdk and avg manager again Hope it helps Ron

This is what I did. I created a batch file in DOS that runs the emulator I created in Eclipse. Also make sure you have everything installed for eclipse first. The code is as follows: c:\ cd\ cd \program files\android\android-sdk\tools\ emulator.exe @androidAPI4

Thanx for the help! I'll give it a try. I think my app had a _ in it :-)

Well that wasn't it. I tried HelloWorld tutorial only to end up the same. Everything is exactly step by step but the emulator just doesn't display - if I try it again I get the error: invalid command-line parameter: Files. Hint: use '@foo' to launch a virtual device named 'foo'. please use -help for more information Not sure how to apply the batch file idea. Would that start the emulator?

See this...scroll down about half way... to the 'foo' message. Sounds like you need to remove the virtual device from the list then re-add it. http://wing-linux.sourceforge.net/guide/developing/tools/avd.html
