Crop in BT upload image session mess up images.

Hello. Have noticed that when uploading image to 1.4 android the app-image session where you upload and crop a image really messes up the image (How many images can one really put in one sentence?).LOL. Anyway it doesn't seem to make any difference if I upload a full size 512x512 high resolution with high dpi. The cropped version that end up in the android phone ( I have a HD Desire HD) looks like a hard compressed jpg image. Or am I doing something wrong? Br/Stefan

You can change the icon by finding it in your project folder and replacing it with a file you resize yourself. Just make sure the dimensions are correct. (Use the size of the already existing image. 72x72?) But replace it with an image with better detail. The cropper doesn't do the best job of resampling the image when resizing... but it works great for people who've never done that sort of thing and still want to create an app.

@Parker It's not the icon. That can be replaced by you. I know that. I'm talking about the app image 300x150. It's called default.png in the rez folder. Even if you change that to à better looking file, the app Will download the compressed file from the BT server. If I can remove that session I think the problem Will be solved. Br Stefan

Ah...makes sense, @Stefan is talking about the image on v1.4 apps home screen. The layout file for the home screen has an Image View. This file is called act_home.xml and it's in the /res/layout folder in the Eclipse project. You could try setting a ScaleType option in the XML for that Image View? Options like android:scaleType=fitCenter are explained here: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/ImageView.ScaleType.html The .java code in the project doesn't actually scale anything so change the ScaleType in the XML should have an effect.
