BigDoor Gamification JS

Hi, We would like to integrate BigDoors JS Script with our app and I was wondering if someone could help me with just how. Here is the script they give for websites, and below is the link their support forums on <!--start BigDoor MiniBar--> <script src=http://js.bigdoor.com/branches/release/load.js></script> <script type=text/javascript>BDM.load(3755,www.mywebsite.com,1);</script> <!--end BigDoor MiniBar--> http://www.bigdoor.com/developers/ Secondly, we are integrating BigDoor with YouTube API (To reward users with virtual currency for watching videos), and I was wondering if this would work via integrating the YouTube video / API with our mobile / tablet apps. Here is an article from their support on how this would work with YouTube. http://support.bigdoor.com/bigdoor/topics/how_to_detect_if_video_is_watched_completely_to_award_points Thanks SO much for anyone willing to help. You guys are AWESOME! Shawn

Hi in NY: No experience with BigDoor but it looks cool! For sure you'll want to experiement with this to see how it works with mobile. Oh, and I see you're not on the Early Adopter list. get on the list with the link in your control panel. After doing that, you'll have the option to create a v1.5 app. When you create a new app it defaults to v1.4, choose v1.5 after gettiing on the list. HUGE imporovement over v1.4 and it'll really help you with things like this BigDoor integration. So, maybe.... a) create a v1.5 app b) Download the source-code c) Create an HTML page with the BigDoor javascript include See what happens? Not sure what to expect really because it's impossible to know how their backend works. Who knows, could be awesome!

Yup. buzztouch 24/7. I stared this thing a few years ago and havn't looked back. 40,000 plus apps are keeping us jumpin' ;-) The BigDoor thing looks cool, it will be interesting to see if it plays nicely with mobile - bet it does with a little tinkering.

Yeah man. Gamification is what they say all websites will be doing. Wow bro!! This site is amazing you have here. Such a resource! And a cool guy too, for even being on here. We are looking to create apps for clients, and sell them. Any chance we could work together on some type of partnership? ALso, had a quick question, we want to insert a custom Google Map, which pulls from a database of users. Is that possible with your tech? how would we do this?

We should connect with phone...There are lots of folks doing all sorts of things with buzztouch Server. This is a server-side package we help folks with to enable / power their app building initiatives, projects, customer, clients, whatever. There are all sorts of details about each install that vary greatly depending on the needs. The idea is that it's a branded version of the toosl and technolgies you find at buzztouch.com packaged up and modified in a way that meets the clients expectation. Blah, blah, simple blurb here: http://www.buzztouch.com/BT-server/ Maps: Yup, totally doable and several ways to do this in v1.5. a) Make a map screen (do not enter any locations manually) b) Enter a Data URL that points to your .php script on your website c) Your .php script pulls from whatever source you need. Users, stores, locations, whatever you want to show on the map Combining dynamic data with all sorts of screen types can get tremendously powerful, all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Have a look at the docs, the facebook page (for samples) and spend some time getting used to the way v1.5 works - you'll find it well worth the effort. Send an email to info 'at' buzztouch.com and we'll start exploring a buzztouch Server solution if you think it makes sense. PST time, 2:00 AM! Passing out ;-)

Haha. EST 5:06 and I'm still going hard! Ok, I'll shoot you an email there. I'm interested. (so long as cost is good, it can power iPad apps, and integrate with what we're doing)

Yup...we'll continue the chat. It'll help you do what you're doing (iPad, etc) and is super-duper flexible. It'll just come down to whether you want to team up with us or do it yourself. We do hope to release an free version for you to download and install (like WordPress does) on your site but we dont' have a release date set yet. Today we're just working with firms that want to pay us to setup / manage / configure / program the server for them. Could talk for days about this.... I'll find your email and reach out in the next few days...night.

Hi Shaw and David, Interesting idea about BigDoor. We've used it in websites but didn't even think about mobile, but now it seems like an obvious idea, youtube = points, right... Shawn, are you interested to chat more? tom.benson at iOptimal.com
