Apple: ibooks vs Apps & Android books

Comment. Apple. ibook. According with the new policy, Apple does not accept any more book's apps. Developers have to use e-pub guidelines to summit the ibooks. Policy 2.21: Apps that are simply a book should be submitted to the iBookstore Question.Apple&Android. buzztouch will process ibooks using epub in the future? Thanks, R.

Hopefully this will be an option in the future However, the iBookstore can be just as lucrative as the iTunes store, or the Appstore

I am not sure if Apple changed anything regarding the iBooks program but you do have to sign up as a publisher to publish to the iBookstore and you must provide an ISBN for each book which costs about $125 each or a block of 10 for $250 (US). Also, I can tell you that they are in no hurry to approve books and if you want tech support good luck on getting an answer in less than 4-6 weeks. We have been waiting for approval for a book since last October if you can believe that!

I think Apple are now starting to 'push' iBooks more, especially with the recent release of their 'iBooks' app

elaine, I submitted a 23 pages app (like a book) to Apple, and it was rejected. Apple did not give me any explanation, except, that I have to summit the app in iBook format. Tomorrow, I am sending a quiz; however, I have a concern about privacy issues; please, tell me, did you remove something from the quiz, or did you summit the quiz without making any changes to the folder that buzztouch produces? I want to take all the precautions necessary, so Apple will approve my quiz. Thanks, R.

I left the quiz as it is, but in the buzztouch 'quiz' online page I took out the scoreboard option, so it doesn't send off your high scores from the app. Sailed through second time ;) Good luck!

I recently got rejected for the reason stated above. Thanks for the advice on adding a quiz. I give it another try.
