I plugged my RSS Feed into the program. But when you click the feed button it brings up a screen saying the website is expired or out of date??? Any help?

Hi in Boise... Happy to get a look if you a) Provide the app name exactly as it appears in your control panel b) Provide the name of the RSS screen you're struggling with c) Post that 'its OK for the buzztouch team to download my project for testing' Lastly, iOS or Android?

HI in Boise: I downloaded the project, changed nothing, compiled and ran on the simulator. Works perfectly. Nice art by the way! So, I'm not sure what to advise. Where are you seeing the 'out of date' message? I did find the RSS items load pretty quick but the individual stories take a moment sometimes...not sure why, maybe a slow RSS webserver? All seems fine.

Ah, I see now. Android changes everything (I tested on iOS before). a) List loads fine. b) Tapping a story loads a web-view to show the story, this shows a message that was intentionally put there by the RSS owner web-master. Not sure why? For Android, it works a bit different. Try to follow along, it's a bit complicated. For Android, the URL to the story is actually routed through our backend and then to the phone. Example: When you tap a story the Android device loads a URL like this: http://www.buzztouch.com/applicationScreens/screen_rssReaderFrame.php?screenGuid=89BD55E33DDF661E3F8835D&feedIndex=4&storyUrl=http://www.bracketracingnw.com/racingnw/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=303:3-final-round-appearances-and-a-pair-of-victories-make-chicago-memorable-for-cummings&catid=40:top-stories Notice the URL. First it goes to our server, and then see the storyUrl in the address? The URL to the actual story is: http://www.bracketracingnw.com/racingnw/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=303:3-final-round-appearances-and-a-pair-of-victories-make-chicago-memorable-for-cummings&catid=40:top-stories If you paste the first URL in your browsers address bar and load it, you'll see the same error message you're seeing on the device. If you paste the second URL in your browser the story will load. Why? Not sure but it's for sure the webmasters decision to not allow this approach. The buzztouch backend grabs the contents of the story and creates a web-page out of it for the device. This web-page uses something called iFrames. It looks to me like the webmaster is preventing the story from loading in an iFrame. I've heard of this a few times in the past. The idea is that they don't want folks pulling their content into other sites, phones, etc. Not sure you'll be able to change this behavior unless you contact the person that controsl this site. Works perfect in iOS, not in Android - bummer.

If it works perfectly in iOS, does that mean that apple can/will break frames against webmaster wishes?

@raveyd: The iOS version of the project you download does not work the same way and does not route any RSS data through our backend. This also means it's not re-creating any of the HTML when you tap an RSS story. This design is only applicable to Android.
