Flashcards

Hi there! It is possible to create flashcards with the buzztouch software? If the answer is yes, can you tell me how? If the answer is not, maybe, for future update this feature will be added. Thanks, R.

I can think of a few ways to do this with images. Maybe a Gallery or something? Sure there are some other more complicated ways but why not a list of images / flash cards to tap-swipe through?

Definitely, I can visualize my flashcards as images and changing the flashcards with the tap-swipe feature. When I finish copying and pasting my 328 questions. I will try that!!! Thank you for you great idea too. :-) R.

First I edited the image in Power Point. When finished with the image I would right click and save as image in .png format. Then upload it to an image gallery. Power point made it easier to organize and label because I had many images before uploading to the image gallery(s). The app is called Rank Recon. Give me an email address and I'll send you a promo code. Once you take look, if you have any questions let me know.

I used the same process for the Ribbon Recon app as well.

If you have some basic .php skills, and want to save some serious time (it may be worth learning how to do this). a) Create a .php script on your site to output each image dynamically b) Use an Image Gallery and set the Data URL to your custom script. Your magically .php image script would create the .png image on the fly, no images would exist on your file system. Ghost images (a name I coined up a few years ago) are super useful and flexible. The idea... Your .php script starts with a generic background image with style, border, pizzaz then adds the text to the image before streaming it to the device. The device thinks it's getting a .png because it is! The backend have literally zero images. Use a text file or something to manage the data, open the text file, output each image. I realize it's a bit of a nerdy idea but it could be the difference betweeen a home-run app with thousands of flash cards in dozens of categories that you could manage easily. Or, a relatively simple app that's super time consuming to manage. Read this and see if it's somethign you want to tackle: http://terriswallow.com/weblog/2007/writing-text-to-images-with-php/

I am trying to create a simple app for iphone for a Master's instructional technology project. I want to create flash cards and like the PowerPoint idea. My question is were all the cards created in one PowerPoint file and then the entire file uploaded to the MacImage Gallery that can be purchased w/ buzztouch? This is my first attempt at this and do not have programming skills so any help is appreciated. I did purchase the Rank Recon app to see how this looked and worked and it is similar to what I would like to create. Thanks

I am also wondering if using the button menu idea for flash cards if you have to upload the images individually to the image gallery? Thanks
