100,000 views in less than a month!

My app, built with the brilliant 1.5 version of BT, has seen 100,000 views in its first three weeks of release. Couldn't have done it without Buzztouch! If anyone is interested in checking it out, here's the iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/manga-university-101-how-to/id452236050?mt=8

Super cool - hope you have some ad revenue coming to offset all the hard work. Awesome artwork!!!

We've generated a bit of Iad revenue, but not even enough to buy everyone in the office a cup of coffee :-( Need to tinker with the code in Xcode to see if we can make the iAd banners stick throughout the app, rather than change every time the user navigates to a new page within the app. I put the app together (with great assistance from BT, of course); the artwork was done by several different people working at the company. The next step (besides beefing up the iAds) is making the app universal, so it runs native on the iPad. Wanted to get this early version out first, though.

Got it. The tough part with the Ad banner view is all the different types of screens it may be configued to show for. Each screen's view controller re-creates the view, like you realize. Moving the view to the root of the app seems like the only way to persist it accross all the different screens. I haven't looked into how to pull this off because of all the different ways an app may be configured (tabs, no tabs, menus, buttons, quizzes, image galleries, etc). It seems to me that if it were simply 'plopped' on the bottom of the screen it would for sure ruin the layout on lots of screens. Hmm... maybe just do this and start it hidden (not gone, just hidden) and show/hide it on each screen where the ad's been 'turned on.' This could allow it to be 'alive' but hidden the entire time the app is running. Gonna take some work for sure but may be worthwhile. The entire ad process needs major work because we want to support more than just iAds. We'll get there eventually!
