Compiling For iOS Version x.x Question - What Does BT Support?

Hi, So, when you go to compile your program, you have the choice of compiling for iOS versions all the way back to iOS 3. I decided to choose iOS 4.3, and after I submitted the binary, saw a note saying that it would not be available to Verizon customers, who are apparently running a lower iOS version. So, back to the drawing board and compiled against iOS 4.0. That seemed to take OK. My question is : how far back are BT apps supported? I understand that some of the new advanced features might require newer iOS versions, but if it's a basic app (in this case List Menus, link to PDF, custom HTML and link to YouTube), how far back could I have gone? And...given that I;m running iOS 4.3 SDK, are all those earlier iOS version backwards compatible? I obviously want to make my apps available to the greatest audience possible. I know there are people still using iOS 3.x (my wife, for instance) on earlier phones like 3G. Is there a good rule of thumb, or some sort of documentation, that I could reference? Thanks! Mark

At the moment, BT will compile with no issues with 3.0 selected. Anything newer and you may run into errors during compiling (especially with xCode 5 - the beta) and you'll abandon those users who are on older hardware. So, at the moment there is no reason to go above 3.0 that I'm aware of.
