Copyright Issue Question - RSS feeds and Logos

I have a simple question regarding experience people had with application rejection by Apple due to copyright issues. If I have an App that amongst other things provides a link to public RSS feeds (e.g. New York Times, Economist etc) on specific topics, am I violating any copyright if I do that? What if I use their Logos on the RSS Link Row? Am I allowed to do that or not? Thanks in advance.

I have had rejections based on copyright issues. One app was resubmitted four times with me stripping and changing content before Apple actually told me what the offending content was (I had included copyrighted song lyrics). I have several sports apps that include the logos of the major football conferences as well as Associated Press, USA Today and ESPN, and Apple has let those go through with no problem. I think part of the issue with Apple is it depends on the reviewer. I have seven apps in the app store now and all pull news feeds and I have not had any issues regarding copyright. Don't know if this helps you at all.

Thanks, you input helps. I read somewhere that you can of course link feeds as these are open and online already, but sometime App reviewers are very careful with company logos etc., as companies (especially media companies) have strict copyrights... On the other hand, you are essentially helping THEM by promoting their content and bringing more people to their websites for free, so I do not see what the big deal is... I also agree, no matter how many rules are in place, the reviewing process has some subjective and arbitrary element always...

I have had a few issues with copyrights but not from apple... the content was accepted initially but I got an email later asking me to change/remove it. Best advice is to check the specific company's website. THey all have copyright information pages and they will usually state if you can link to their content, use logo, etc. I've linked to free online content before and was still told to remove it even though, as you say, I was only helping them.
