Lion & XCode Upgrade

Hi there, Just recently (after doing so well on my first App) I upgraded Xcode & up to Lion. Got all the certificates from Apple and then when I went to run my App on my IPhone4 and daughters IPod touch(Adhoc), I got a message saying: CodeSign error: code signing is required for product type 'Application' in SDK 'iOS 4.3' It's been a few days now and I just CAN'T get it to run on the above IPH4 or IPT. Can someone help PLEASE??? Dave.

Open Xcode and click on the Folder Icon to the left. Then click on the blue icon with your APP NAME just below the folder icon. Now a little to the right click on the blue project icon and click Build Settings scroll about halfway down and look for Code Signing Identity. This is probably set to Don't Code Sign you need to change this to YOUR Developer Provisioning Profile chaning the first one should set all of them correctly. (If you don't have one it can be created at developer.apple.com I also do the same for the TARGET APP NAME just below the TARGET. This should fix your problem.

NO PROBLEM we are all here to help each other and there are plenty on this forum that have helped me. You will need to change the Code Signing before you publish to the App Store to match the Provisioning profile you create for your app when getting it ready for Distribution. There are a few video within the Apple Developer website to the right once you click on iOS Provisioning Portal that talk about creating the App ID and Provisioning Profile I found them very helpful. You will also need to create your App within iTunesConnect.apple.com before being able to submit to the App Store. Here is some advice with adding your app to iTunesConnect have your 512x512 Icon image ready .jpg format as well as iPhone and iPad app screenshots ready to upload. Also, have your app description and keywords ready or you will not be able to complete the process. Also keywords are VERY important as this is mainly what is used for your APP to show when someone does a search in the App Store. Now AFTER all of this is complete I would recommend following this tutorial that I found and used when submitting to the App Store for the first time with Xcode 4.1 http://www.weston-fl.com/blog/?p=2442 Good Luck
