background image problem when setting as my homepage

i wonder what went wrong.i want to point the background directly at an image :mainscreen.png which will be the home screen for my app, it doesn't update.when i refresh it shows the picture accurately for about .5 s before it shows the data not yet downloaded, pls check internet connection i click OK and it display a previous older picture. i've already pasted the file into BT image and added it in xproj. what's up?

Not sure what's up. What does the output console show? Open the console when the app is running it will show lots of good info, like where it's looking for an image. It sounds to me like you're asking two different things. a) Why is an image not updating and b) Why can't data be downloaded from the server. You'll need to determine which process is failing to download data - probably a Splash Screen or your Home Screen. Lots of options here, tabs, no tabs, splash screen, etc. See if the Console helps. Repost if you can't figure it out.

@byteblorg: I had the same issue. The background image was not loading. I had to quit the IOS simulator and then build again. Then the new image showed.

BT doesn't rock even half-as-close as that cool dog in stoneypointe's avatar - super cool. @ slater: Background image with a transparent list. Easy. I think one of the sample screen shots on the menu list screen settings show this? a) Set a screen background image. b) Set the Menu lists row-color to 'clear' c) Set the Menu lists background-color to 'clear' 'clear' and 'stripes' are two speical color keywords you can use in the control panel instead of a hex color for this exact reason. Bet it works ;-)
