App cannot run on Android 2.2

I downloaded the Android source code and managed to load it in eclipse. However, when I try to run the app in my android emulator, I get a HelloWorld output, and yet I expected to see menus and stuff. No images are displayed at all. My Android SDK, ADT plugin are working perfectly. Do I have to downgrade to a lower version of Android ?

Not sure what you're asking here. Are you saying you successfully created a simple HelloWorld app? OK, good, this means you machine can compile and run Android apps. However, the project you download from your control panel has nothing to do with the HelloWorld app, it's your own project with lots and lots of source-code. See the video about setting up your project with Google v1.6 API's, not 2.2

may be just as simple as having the wrong project selected when running emulator have you checked the avd manager & checked you have all the required google API packages downloaded (not the android packages) Steve

Ok yeah, you need to go into AVD & sdk manager & download the required packages - you haven't finished configuring eclipse to work with the required packages for Buzztouch - common error :)

Ok, I have downloaded Google API's 4 from https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/google_apis-4_r02.zip onto my computer (Updating using avd and sdk manager seems to take forever).. Is there any particular folder in the android sdk where I can copy and paste them ?

Whenever I try to check Third Party Addons under Available packages, I get this error message: Failed to fetch URL http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/addons_list.xml, reason: Read timed out
