Link To Driving Directions From HTML File? v1.5

Searched the forum but didn't find anything relevant... I'm looking for a way to launch a native app from a link (button) in an HTML screen. Essentially, the user would click on a pin in a Location Map, which would take them to an HTML screen. That screen would present some basic information about the locations (hours, amenities, etc), and have a couple buttons at the bottom for things like Weather and Driving Directions. If the user touches the Driving Directions button, I would like it to launch a native app preloaded with the destination address. Is this possible? My first thought on how to do this was to create a List (Button) page and link the button to a native app...that is very doable from what I can tell. However, I would have to create a header image with the text info I want to present, instead of actual text. That might be a good workaround, but I figure if there is a way to do it from an HTML link (without some weird modifications to NT_config), then that would be the preferable method. Any thoughts? Thanks! Mark

Yeah, the header image would probably be needed to 'say' enough. I thought the same thing. Tap the pin > load a menu with a header graphic on top and a list of choice below. What happens when you just use a regular HTML link with a Google Maps url? Like... http://maps.google.com?q=123 Elm Street+Sacramento+Ca+88374 Bet it works, iOS is pretty smart about handling links. Oh, also, you could just use your standard web-page for the info then add a Top-Right-Nav button that was connected to another map (probably with a flip animation) or a launch native app feature.

Both good suggestions...thanks, David! I'll let you know which one I try and end up using in my app. Thanks!
