Updating APPs on Android

Hey guys, So I pulled a true nooob and deleted my keynote by accident so in order to place the same APP back on the Android Market I had to change the name of the COM file in order for Google to allow me to upload it since I kept getting the error that I already had uploaded an .apk with the same COM name. Anyways how do I go about updating my APP in google if I need to make minor changes in my APP via BUZZTOUCH? Is there a specific file or files I can just overwrite with the new source code and I can just replace and re-export instead of creating a new project from existing and going through the whole process?

If it's just changes that you make through the Buzztouch site itself then you don't need to do anything at all. It's all automatic.

Bladeboy, I had the same problem. Seems like everything must be the same when you upload the new .apk file. In my case, my maps would not load and I got a new certificate for the debug and release key. After making several adjustments I could not get past the message about the certificate not matching the certificate of the previous upload. I gave up and duplicated my previous apps using the new certificate. One problem I have is Android does not tell you all the problems with a new .apk all at once. I must have done 4 or 5 fixes before getting the certificate problem message.

Ahhh - yes, it's very important to use the same .apk name and key certificate when uploading an update to your application. Android will reject it if they don't match. To be honest - much as I love google I hate Eclipse and the crappy way it's works and it has cause me no end of stress in recent weeks.

When you make changes in eclipse you will need to change the version code in the Android manifest file.(should be a number 1 change it to 2) re export the project as a new apk then upload it to Android market ....if the changes are made via buzz touch control panel this will be automatically updated in the app no need to do anything...eclipse is actually pretty good being that is completely free..
