app name...when its shortened, it looks like a swear word...need help

i have made an app for the company i work for which is named after the owner...unfortunately the name is doubled-barrelled and when this is shortened to fit below the icon, it looks like a swear word! is there any way around this?

ha! i wish it were that simple. the clients/customers only know us by that name, so if i change it, they wont be able to find the app if they search it on the app store. right?

No they will, use keywords with the name during the app submission, then they will find it.

David A is correct. The app store search checks the long title and the keywords you set up. I don't think the short title of the app matters at all.

I found this on the net, hope it helps: 1)Change Complete Project Name Menu > Project > Edit Active Target > Build tab Select ‘All Configurations’ from Configuration. Scroll down to the ‘Packaging’ group > Product Name Double click it and enter the new name. Build and run and the name has changed. 2)Change The Displayed Name Changing the displayed name of the app (for instance if the full app name is too long to fit under the icon) Open ApName_prefix.plist Change the ‘Bundle Display Name’ entry. The default is ‘${PRODUCT_NAME}’, overwrite this with the shorter name to be displayed. I think you only need the 2nd step.
