How long did it take until you got it approved? 1 week, 2 weeks?

It took 2 weeks to get from In Review to Review They failed it the first time so I had to resubmit and then they approved it within an hour

How about if we wanted to update things like latest videos, articles, etc. Just to make things more recent? Would that still require a reapproval process?

so it would probably just be easier to create links to websites, that way things can be changed there and not the app, correct?

Correct. I did that for a lot of my apps. The only downside is that the user needs access to web to view.

one last question....can interactive PDFs be uploaded on the app? I saw that regular PDFs could, but didn't know if this included the interactive feature as well. My company is developing a program and wants employees to keep track of their participation by checking off what they have attended, save it on the phone and then submit when the time comes. is this possible? last question of the day, promise :) Thank you for your patience

@mariocardu - congrats, be sure to post the URL to you app on the buzztouch facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/buzztouch/195311247494 @andream: There are lots and lots of things you can change in your app after it's in the App Store without submitting an update. Thats the whole point, make a change in your control panel and the app will download the changes in real time. This is especially useful for content like videos, songs, pdf's, etc.

It will cost you $99 a year to join the Apple developer program. There are no additional fees.

-David@buzztouch: oh wow, awesome. good to know! So, would it be correct to say that unless I change major content that makes the app completely different from what its original purpose was, I don't need to submit an update to the store? All I would want to do anyway is keep things current. @ stoneypointe: once I submit the app to the apple store, this is when the $99/yr kicks in? Once my app is approved, do I start paying the $99? Or once the app is submitted for approval, irrelevant of its approval, this is when the $99 kicks in? Thanks so much everyone! this is really helping me

@andream: Sounds like you understand the update process - basically. The idea is that you don't want to submit something for approval that will be totally different in the long term. Generally it's best to submit something, then not change it while it's being reviewed. The $99 fee to Apple is required whether you submit something or not. You need to pay the fee to become a registered developer before you can submit anything for approval.
