strategy - 10 £0.99 apps or 1 £7 app?

Hey am making my first commercial app. Thing is it is a skills based educational app, where the user will be learning movements that build on one another. there will be 10 levels of instruction, each level will broken into 4 video tutorial segments. should I do 10 mini level by level apps, that have the 4 video tutorials each. or one bundled app that is £7 (40 tutorials) obviously there is the file size to consider also I think i heard elsewhere that iOS appstore frowns upon apps with <any name> (..2,3,...10) etc thanks for the input ^_^

If size allows I would be tempted to release the whole app and charge to activate levels. you could do some neat stuff then like refresher quizzes between levels etc

I like the comb of doing both: tutorial 1-3 free tutorial 4-6 upgrade $.99 tutorial 7-10 upgrade $.99 etc... and have one app that has them all in it for a flat fee of 7 or so... The 1-3 is a great idea, as long as it moves them to either buy the next few or buy them all at once. So 1- 3 has to be good enough but don't give away the house :) Keep us in the loop on the way you go and progress..

Apple will probably force you to do an in-app purchase setup where your users pay to unlock content. They're really pushing that model now.

thanks for the comments.. I too like the idea of combing the 0.99 upgrades along with the buy all at discout price. Any ideas on how to implement the level activation. Is it like a plug in? or in app purchase...or something else?... no matter which type it is, I'll definitely need guidance on that, so if you have seen any neat tutorials walkthroughs or posts please let me know :-)

do a free app with in-app purchases for higher levels * free apps get roughly 10x to 30x more downloads than paid apps (at any price) *
